Since the times of Napoleon, wines have been cultivated here in the Ruwer valley by our family. Since the end of the nineteen seventies, I, Peter Geiben, have been running the Karlsmuehle estate winery.

To me, this is a fascinating craft involving the chance and the challenge to create top quality wines in tune with the vineyard ecosystem, thanks to experience, knowledge, patience and with honest toil: wines which are characterized by crystal clear fruity aromas, complex taste, the unique terroir of our vineyards, the microclimate of the Ruwer valley, and where ecology and salubriousness are not just mere words. Within this creative synthesis between soil, microclimate, healthy old vines and the winemaker’s intuition lie the secrets of our great authentic wines.
